I have a really bad headache. I suppose this is what happens when you have popcorn for breakfast. I went to see Breaking Dawn part 1 this morning and I wasn't about to forgo my usual cinema snack just because it was early.
Robert Pattinson did not look good. But then all of the vampires looked rather ridiculous. Except Esme. Makes me wonder what kind of power Elizabeth Reaser has over the make up artists.
I see the Children in Need auction for Matt Smith's clothes has gone up another £10,000 since my post yesterday. Might need a third person in on this.
The next few days are looking particularly good for me:
Friday - Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 comes out. I've been looking forward to this from the very instant I completed Years 1-4.
Also Friday - Children in Need. Always a good show and promises to include a Doctor Who short, which I'm sure is going to be awesome and may just tide me over until Monday.
Saturday - No plans, so I'm free to spend hours playing Lego Harry Potter.
Sunday - Planning to see Breaking Dawn Part 1 with two of the guys from work. It's going to be hilarious.
Monday - Doctor Who series 6 box set comes out with extras including the Night and the Doctor mini-episodes that have had me worked up into a wibbly-wobbly ball of excitement and anticipation ever since I found out they existed.
HEY, GUYS! GUYS! GUESS WHAT I'VE BOUGHT, GUYS!
WAIT FOR IT...
ARE YOU READY...?
THE TWILIGHT BOARD GAME TRILOGY
I KNOW, RIGHT? I'M SURE THAT COLLECTIVE GROAN I JUST HEARD THROUGH THE INTERNET WAS ALL OF YOU CHEERING WITH JOY AT THIS TURN OF EVENTS!
WE'RE TOTALLY GOING TO GET DRUNK AND PLAY THESE GAMES. YES, WE ARE.
AND IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING, THERE WAS A 3 FOR 2 OFFER AND I BOUGHT TWO OTHER BOARD GAMES I WANTED SO I DIDN'T ACTUALLY PAY ANYTHING FOR THE TWILIGHT GAMES. THEY WERE A FREE GIFT FROM THE GOODNESS OF ARGOS'S HEART!
I had a good weekend:
Saturday - Eclipse. Not as bad as I was expecting but still highly amusing in places. Is it just me or was that one hideous engagement ring Edward gave her?
Sunday - Mum's birthday. We celebrated with board games. Robert won Star Trek Scene It, I won Perplex City, the Cylons won Battlestar Galactica (and since I was the Cylon I can say that I won that too), and Dad won Trivial Pursuit. Mum was quite put out that she didn't get to win anything on her birthday though!
Monday - Mum, Rob and I went to London. We went on the London Eye and timed our trip very well. When we arrived there wasn't too much of a queue for either buying tickets or boarding so we got on pretty quickly, but when we left we saw the boarding queue now stretched far, far, far back! So much so that if we'd arrived at that point it would have been very tempting to leave it for another day. Also, the wheel stopped in one place for about thirteen minutes for unknown reasons while we were on it and we happened to spend those thirteen minutes right at the very top!
I also got to play tour guide and take people to Covent Garden and Leicester Square and Hamleys and the Ferrari store. It was a lovely sunny day and we were quite worn out by the end of it!
So, my totally awesome new Twilight fleece has been keeping me snuggly and warm at night. And during the day. Oh yeah, I am officially the coolest person in the world.
I may lose it to McGee though, he's really taken to it.
I saw New Moon at the weekend. It was awesome. And by 'awesome' I mean 'terrible'.
I still can't wait for Eclipse though. It's going to be epic....ly bad.
In other news, I think there is a conspiracy to stop me sleeping. I get over the jetlag right about the time that Robert brings home his two cats from his old house. Unfortunately the cats have to kept inside for two weeks, which they are not happy about, and they spend much of the night meowing at my window or running around and generally being noisy.
In other other news, it's getting cold. (Yes, I have amazing powers of observation. What would you lot do without me?) Anyway, it's getting cold and my quilt is a light summer quilt that will not keep me nearly warm enough during these harsh upcoming winter months. My solution is to buy some kind of blanket to go over it. Which brings me to....
The Twilight fleece blanket.
Would it be wrong of me? Would you all shun me in disgust? I have a £10 gift card that I got free so it's not like I'd be spending proper money on the fleece, just a couple of pounds.
Just think of all the joy I'd have, sleeping with Edward (and Jacob and Bella) every night.
It's wrong that I'm seriously considering this, isn't it?
The release date for Chuck series 2 has been put back a week. This makes me sad.
Argos sells a Twilight fleece. This fills me with inexplicable joy.
The Argos website won't let you search for Twilight. This amuses me beyond belief. Seriously, I put 'Twilight' into the search box and this is what I got:
You searched for Office > Printerink > Printerinkcartridges ( clear ) 267 results found
I guess even Argos realises how terrible the series is and is trying to redirect anyone foolish enough to search for it.
