One Down...

My brother is now a university student. We dropped him off today, I went too so he could benefit from my wisdom and experience, or so I could help carry his stuff. There wasn't too much though, most of it was dropped off yesterday cos the uni is so close.

Actually I spent most of the time comparing his room to mine. We went to Tesco to pick him up some supplies and it was completely packed with students and their parents. I wonder if the staff get prior warning about that?

He's right by the Cathedral, which isn't nearly as nice as Canterbury's, and for some reason a Bible was left in his room. He used it to prop up his monitor, seems the thing isn't completely useless after all.

His kitchen is much nicer than mine was and he has a much better view. He also has a real mattress, not the weird inch-thick blue things we had, but much less space between his bed and desk. It made me kinda nostalgic for my old Keynes room.

The weirdest things was all the helper students in T-Shirts that said 'Silent Students Happy Homes'. WTF? I suppose 'At A Reasonable Noise Level Students' doesn't make a nice acronym but, really, whoever thought that slogan up should be slapped round the head.

He's at Canterbury uni? If you mean the Tesco in town, I was working yesterday, and it seems that nobody at Tesco realised what this weekend was, so we had about 3 cashiers for a million customers. Fun for all!

He's at Surrey, the Tesco there is right by the university so I would hope someone would have realised what would happen. Judging by the amount of cashiers I assume they did. I think if there had only been three a full scale riot may have ensued...
