Season Finale Time

Time to talk about TV:

I'm so pleased that they've cancelled Castle. That may seem weird considering how much I loved this show, but season eight has been such a suckfest. It failed in pretty much every way. LokSat has been a damp squib. The separation storyline was pointless and made no sense. Getting rid of Captain Gates and making Beckett captain was a huge mistake. I know Nathan and Stana don't like working together (which was painfully obvious at times) but I hated how it felt like two separate shows. I loved Castle because I loved Castle and Beckett. I loved watching them work together and fall in love with each other and continue to solve crimes together as a happily married couple. When you take that partnership away it just doesn't work.

Which brings me to the other reason I'm glad it was cancelled - the absolutely ridiculous decision to fire Stana Katic and Tamala Jones. I have zero interest in watching Castle without Beckett and I dread to think what excuse they'd have come up with to write her out. But this way we should hopefully get a decent ending with Castle and Beckett together.

Once Upon a Time

I'm going to be honest here and say I was never going to be shedding any tears over Robin's demise. He's always been a bit of a nothing character and I never believed him as Regina's True LoveTM for a second. Not because of my own shipping preferences, but because they had the chemistry of a wet blanket. Having said that though, I would like to thank Lana Parrilla and Sean Maguire for pulling such stupid faces during Robin's death scene that any hint of sadness was replaced by amusement.

I am disappointed that Hook came back though. I hoped we'd be rid of him, but no such luck. I also hope that they'll use the season finale to actually resolve the whole Camelot storyline, but I feel like that might be too much to ask from this show.

I don't actually watch NCIS any more, but I do know that Michael Weatherley is leaving next episode and I know that the previous episode ended with a farmhouse in Israel on fire so I am holding out hope for Ziva to come back and her and Tony to run off into the sunset together. I know Cote de Pablo said she wasn't coming back, but I also know that actors lie through their teeth about things like this and I'm hoping that this is one of those times.
