I am in the process of applying for Graduate Library Trainee Assistant positions. This is to get a year of experience, which is required before I can do my Master's.
I don't have a burning passion to be a librarian but it's one of the few jobs where simply reading the description doesn't make me cry.
According to the website, competition for these posts is severe. I have nothing that sets me apart positively from the other applicants, just negative things such as no library experience or ever having a paid job. So this is stressing me out quite a bit.
Plus there's that little voice in my head that's telling me that even if for some strange reason I do get a position, I won't be able to cope with it.
